Family Range Day

Class description

This class is for families who want to learn about guns. If you and your kids want to learn how to shoot guns as a family, this is a great way to go. After some important safety information, parents will shoot first, then each child will have closely supervised shooting time. The age that is best for kids to have their first shooting experience is not always the same. As a general rule, you child (or children) should be mature enough to follow instructions, understand basic mechanical devices, be able to pay attention for a reasonable amount of time, and be emotionally stable (not frequently and easily angered or frustrated). The parent or parents must be present for the entire class session. Class time will vary based on how many children are present. Estimated duration will be 90 minutes.

Who provides the equipment?

We will provide the firearms and ammo you will use for this range day. If you want to use your own firearms and ammo, we can show you how to use your own guns.

Is this the right class for me?

This class is for parents who want to have a fun experience shooting guns together with their children. Even if you are an avid shooter yourself, it is beneficial to have an instructor teach your children. This takes the pressure off you to teach, gives children a different adult to learn from, and gain independence learning a new skill. If you know how to shoot, but are not quite sure how to best help someone new shoot, this is a good choice for you.

Price

$250 for approximately 90 minutes of instruction. This price includes equipment use.

This price will include the use of 200 rounds of ammunition. If you have several children, and want to use more ammo, more can be added to the price while at the range.

Each student (parent or child) will have a range fee based on the range prices. That fee is NOT included in the price listed above.
